Excuse the usage of mass mailing, but I wanted all of my friends from TBE to know about this new addition to the cultural scene near our neighborhood. No…this doesn't have anything to do with the other festivals in Newport (jazz, pop, classical, folk, etc.).
This is a great opportunity to hear the music of composers of our own time…and meet many of them, too!
Performers in this series are all the best musicians who specialize in performing contemporary music.
Yours truly, Mr. Shilakowsky will be performing one of the twentieth centuries most beloved Alban Berg Violin Concerto as soloist, and composers of many of your favorite movies will be there along with award-winning composers from all over the world!
