Harris,
It's no secret that ICE has transformed into a full-blown paramilitary force under the guise of "law enforcement." We've watched as they've raided churches, schools, and courthouses, stripping away the last remnants of so-called "safe spaces" for immigrant communities.
Now, they want to add stadiums to their list of hunting grounds.
Last month, ICE requested access to the parking lots at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers did the right thing and denied them entry. But what about the rest of the league? Will the Yankees cave? The Cubs? The Braves? Unless we speak up now, those parking lots and stadium entrances could become the next ambush zones.
ICE is showing up masked, armed, and ready to rip families apart. Allowing them anywhere near a stadium, places that are supposed to be community gathering points, not surveillance zones, is a betrayal of everything our national pastime claims to represent.
That's why we're demanding that every single Major League Baseball team publicly and permanently ban ICE from accessing their stadiums and parking facilities. It starts with you raising your voice and refusing to let America's game be used as bait for raids.
Tell Major League Baseball team owners to take a stand against ICE by banning the agency from using stadiums, parking lots, or any team-owned property to surveil, detain, or intimidate immigrant communities.
This is about more than baseball. It's about the normalization of fear and state violence. If teams stay silent, they're complicit in letting ICE weaponize these public spaces for political terror.
Stadiums are meant for fans, not federal agents in tactical gear.
Dodger Stadium stood up. But without pressure, other teams might fold. We've seen how ICE targets vulnerable communities when they think no one's watching. That's why we need to shine a light and expose every attempt they make to spread their crackdown to ballparks nationwide.
We're demanding the bare minimum to keep ICE the hell out of our stadiums. Immigrants should be able to watch a ballgame without fearing that it'll be the last day they see their family. We don't need ICE patrolling the bleachers.
This is where we draw the line. MLB either stands with its communities or with a rogue agency targeting them. Tell MLB teams to keep ICE out of America's stadiums.
Let's keep our stadiums safe, welcoming, and ICE-free.
