Donald Trump just launched the largest union-busting campaign in American history by executive order. He's stripping collective bargaining rights from over a million federal workers, including countless veterans, frontline public servants, and whistleblowers who hold the government accountable.
This is a direct hit on democracy designed to silence dissent, weaken unions, and concentrate power in the hands of the executive. If we don't act now, Trump's assault on federal labor rights will become the new normal.
That's why the Protect America's Workforce Act is so urgent. This bipartisan bill would reverse Trump's authoritarian power grab. It restores federal workers' rights to collectively bargain, reaffirms whistleblower protections, and expands workplace safety for government employees at every level.
These are the people who serve our country, not political pawns for a wannabe strongman. They deserve rights, dignity, and protection under the law.
The House has the power to stop this. But they need to hear from us, and they need to hear it loud. Tell your Representative: pass the Protect America's Workforce Act.
Trump's executive order hit over 30 agencies, stripping labor rights from as many as 1.5 million federal workers under the bogus claim of "national security." But this is nothing more than a smokescreen for retaliation, punishing unionized workers who dared to speak out.
Let's be clear: federal workers already have fewer rights than those in the private sector. They can't bargain over pay, they can't strike, and they can't organize over job classifications. The least we can do is protect what rights they do have.
The Protect America's Workforce Act restores a crucial balance, ensuring due process, codifying whistleblower protections, and strengthening penalties for unsafe working conditions. This bill is a line in the sand, and we need every voice to draw it.
Federal workers are the backbone of government, and the last line of defense against corruption, abuse, and authoritarianism. If we lose them, we lose more than just labor rights, we lose our democracy.
