I believe that our brightest days are still ahead, but we have to work together to fix what's broken in Washington. When I was Governor of North Carolina, we expanded Medicaid. We passed pay raises for public school teachers and we built a strong economy by investing in clean energy and investing in our people. Washington can look like this, too. It's time to elect leaders who are ready to do the hard work of strengthening our middle class, restoring voting rights and reproductive rights, protecting our environment and ensuring every child has the excellent education they deserve.
