From sexism to antisemitism to denying the Holocaust, Mark Robinson has taken the most extreme position on nearly every issue. He is committed to the worst kind of politics. And there’s a real chance Robinson could win this toss-up race if we don’t harness grassroots support. A new poll shows this race is locked in a statistical tie, with Robinson polling just two points behind my friend Attorney General Josh Stein – 47% to 49%. Harris, national Republicans view my state’s governor’s race as their top pick-up opportunity. And I’m not exaggerating when I say that the outcome of this race will determine whether North Carolina is set on a path for progress or whether rights and freedoms are denied to future generations. That’s why, although I’m term-limited as governor and won’t be on the ballot this year, I’m working my hardest to support Josh Stein, who will keep up the progress we’ve made. The DGA knows how to win tough races. They were essential to my election and reelection victories.
