Today, the right-wing Supreme Court gave polluters and fossil fuel companies a huge win, overruling Chevron v. The Natural Resources Defense Council. NPR explains that the Court "undid decades of regulatory law, making it far more difficult for federal agencies to issue rules and regulations that carry out broad mandates enacted by Congress." Now, instead of experts at the EPA regulating polluters or the CFPB regulating banks, big businesses have more power to gut pro-climate or pro-consumer rules in court.
