Harris,
In this November's elections, voters have the chance to hold North Carolina state legislators accountable for enacting a statewide abortion ban.
Republicans gained a supermajority in both chambers of the North Carolina General Assembly last year, allowing them to override the Democratic governor's veto and impose an abortion ban. We know a ban on reproductive rights is NOT what North Carolinians want — and that's why we've endorsed seven Democratic pro-choice women in state House races and four in state Senate races to hold onto blue seats and flip Republican-held seats.
Donate now to support the EMILYs List women who are running to replace anti-choice extremists in swing states like North Carolina and beyond:
It's critical that we break North Carolina Republicans' supermajorities before they enact more restrictions on our reproductive freedom. And the good news, Harris, is we only need to flip one seat in either the state House or Senate to get it done. We can do this!
We are proud to stand with Beth Helfrich (HD-98) and Safiyah Jackson (HD-37) — two candidates running to flip Republican-held state House seats — and Nicole Sidman (HD-105), who is running against Rep. Tricia Cotham (the anti-choice Democrat-turned-Republican whose party switch handed Republicans their supermajority). Our pro-choice champions will stand up to GOP extremists and work to protect the rights of all North Carolinians.
Donate to our Swing State Support Fund now to help state and local candidates on the front lines of protecting reproductive freedom:
