 Hi Harris, this is Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
I’m reaching out at this critical moment to ask for $6 to defeat Donald Trump by training scores of incredible Democrats. I can’t overstate just how important it is that my friends at NDTC close the hole in their fundraising before their midnight deadline. If 788 donors step up before midnight, they will hit their goal and close this gap. Will you chip in $6? >> I’ve always said this about polling:
We don’t celebrate polls that show us up, and we don’t lose it when polls show us down. Instead, we roll up our sleeves and get to work.
Take it from a born-and-raised swing stater… this Presidential race could be the closest in history:
– I’ve watched as Trump raised millions after he was arrested and indicted.
– I’ve watched as he inched into a dead heat with Kamala Harris in the polls.
– And now, I’m watching as the risk that he becomes our next President grows and grows.
But Harris, I refuse to sit back and let that happen – and I know you won’t either.
Here’s my plan: As of 12PM, we have 12 hours to close this fundraising gap. If 788 people step up and give what they can before midnight, we’ll get back on track. Will you rush in a donation to NDTC so that they can train scores of Democrats across swing states like Michigan and hand Donald Trump the defeat he deserves? I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is one of the most critical moments for our democracy.
We have a chance to stop Trump and protect all the progress we’ve made—on health care, voting rights, reproductive freedom, and more.
But it’s going to take all of us standing together to make sure we have the leaders in place to get the job done.
