Republican members of Congress fear the wrath of Donald Trump.
But that fear must be nothing compared to the fear of a parent on the verge of losing food assistance for their family as Republicans set to cut lifesaving programs to give tax cuts to the rich.
That fear must be nothing compared to the fear a working class mom with a history of health issues must feel as Republicans prepare to slash Medicaid benefits for those who need it to survive.
In just a few weeks, Congress will vote on Trump's "one big, beautiful bill" that will take away vital services from the poor and working class just to give more to people who already have it all.
Some of the members of Congress who vote yes will have met with families on the verge of losing a vital safety net. They will see the polls that show Americans overwhelmingly oppose these cuts.
They will look at those families, then look over their shoulder and see the potential for mean tweets from Trump... and they will choose Trump.
Shame on them. Cowards.
But there is still time. There is time to stop that from happening — and there is time to hold them accountable if it does.
Both require resources. Both efforts will be led by the DNC. So if stopping this bill and holding Republicans who vote for it accountable is important to you, we're asking:
