Bunny, your ACLU Adjourned is here. As the year comes to a close, we're rewinding and replaying our work from the past year – and all the ways you helped us show up to protect our civil liberties. Your ImpactIt's been a busy year for civil liberties – and advocacy from supporters like you made all the difference. Together, we… Compelled President Biden to commute the sentences of 37 people on death row. Enshrined and expanded the right to abortion in 6 state constitutions at the ballot box. Litigated around 50 voting rights cases in states across the country. That's a lot of voters we helped together! Participated in more than 30 state court cases across 24 states. Fought to block bans on gender-affirming health care for trans youth in 9 states, including taking U.S. v. Skrmetti to the Supreme Court – and we'll keep fighting in courts to put those blocks into effect, as some have since been allowed to continue on appeal. Defeated over 340 anti-LGBTQ bills in state legislatures. Thanks to you, we fought to protect abortion rights in two Supreme Court cases – protecting mifepristone access and challenging attacks on emergency medical care. You made these fights possible. Your ACLU LawyerOur lawyers are on the frontline of the fight for our rights – and as an ACLU supporter, you're right there with them. But which ACLU lawyer does your year of advocacy most resemble? Sophia Lin Lakin Your 2025 Action PlaylistYou've spent the last 365 days making a difference for your community and the causes you care about. That's why we've curated your 2025 action playlist – three actions you can take now going into 2025 to keep up the fight in the new year:
Bunny, from the whole ACLU team, thank you for a year spent showing up for what matters. As we look to the new year, we hope you'll keep fighting by our side to protect our rights in 2025. The ACLU Team | ||||
