Harris,
On the campaign trail, Donald Trump talked about strengthening our economy, but in office, his chaotic actions have set our country back.
He's announced tariffs, then delayed them, then announced them again, then delayed them again. He's fired federal workers, then rehired them, only to fire them again.
That is no way to govern.
Yes, Trump's policies are misguided and harmful. But also, the chaos itself is damaging.
Consumers can't be smart shoppers when prices can jump or fall at any moment. Workers lose productivity and morale when they could be laid off for no apparent reason. Businesses struggle to operate when their supply chains could be cut off at Donald Trump's whim.
Every sector of our economy depends on our government to foster a consistent business environment. That's why consumers and companies alike are losing confidence—even as some of Trump's most harmful tariffs have yet to be implemented.
We need Congress to be a check on President Trump's dysfunction, but the Republican majorities we have right now care more about appeasing Donald Trump than delivering for the American people.
Will you support my organization, Truth to Power, which is working to elect Democrats across the country, who will put families first and demand accountability from government?
More soon,
Katie
