Real Talk: Big Money's Gotta Go

Justice Democrats

Hey Harris, it's Summer!

Listen—last week, I introduced the Abolish Super PACs Act because enough is ENOUGH. Billionaires and special interests have been treating our democracy like it's their personal playground since the Supreme Court opened the floodgates back in 2010. They've been spending millions (even billions!) like it's pocket change, drowning out the voices of everyday folks. It's outrageous, and it's gotta stop.

Before I get fired up (well, more fired up ), let me ask you straight up: Can you click here and chip in $15, $25, or even $50 today to my campaign and Justice Democrats? Every single dollar matters because unlike these billionaires, we can't just casually drop a million like it's nothing.

Forbes Breaking News: Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) unveil bill to ban super PACs in federal elections.

Super PACs weren't even a thing before 2010—then Citizens United and SpeechNow.org v. FEC changed the game. The Supreme Court basically handed our democracy over to the ultra-rich and corporations. Now, we've got a system that's rigged against working-class folks who dare to challenge the status quo.

I know y'all feel it—this broken system means we have to hustle for every dollar, every week, every month—even when our next primary is a year away. And while we're over here grinding to raise $1,000, billionaires toss around millions like it's nothing. That's exactly why we can't take our foot off the gas, even for a second.

The Abolish Super PACs Act caps contributions at $5,000—effectively putting an end to these shadowy groups altogether. This bill is about taking power back from the wealthy few and handing it back to the people—where it belongs.

We can't keep fighting the good fight without your support. So, I'm asking again because this fight is REAL and URGENT: Can you help fuel this movement today with a split donation of $10, $20, or whatever you can?

Contribute $5

This fight isn't just about politics—it's about reclaiming our voices, our communities, and our future. Thank you for standing with me! Let's keep pushing, keep fighting, and keep giving them hell!

With much love and fire,

Summer Lee
