Sign the petition: Millions of Social Security recipients are facing drastic cuts

TELL CONGRESS: Elon Musk's DOGE is closing Social Security offices and firing federal employees who serve millions of beneficiaries. Musk is an existential threat to Social Security. Sign the petition: Don't let Musk destroy Social Security!

Harris,

Elon Musk's DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) team is firing employees at the Social Security Administration (SSA), closing local Social Security offices, and posing a threat to the benefits that millions of people rely on to survive.1

The American Prospect reports that the Trump administration is seeking a fifty percent reduction in the SSA workforce2 — a devastating blow to the Social Security program and all beneficiaries. Congress must take a stand and protect people receiving Social Security from the reckless actions of the richest man in the world.

Sign the petition: Protect Social Security from Elon Musk!

Trump has repeatedly said that he wouldn't "touch" Social Security.3 Yet, DOGE is discarding the workers and offices that serve beneficiaries en masse.

DOGE is executing its playbook at SSA just like it did at USAID, the CFPB, EPA, FAA, and other agencies: spread propaganda, fire thousands of workers, and hobble government services.

We need to fight for Social Security right now, before Musk and DOGE delay and cut benefits for millions of seniors.

Sign the petition: Don't let Musk destroy Social Security!

Thanks for taking action,

Joey and the team at Demand Progress
