Harris,
First, we want to say thank you. Supporters like you helped us reach our February fundraising goal, and we couldn't be more appreciative.
On that note, this isn't a fundraising email. We just wanted to give you an update on Democrats' work over the last few weeks:
-
Democrats across the country have held town halls, attended roundtables, and rallied with federal workers in response to Trump and Elon Musk's shameful layoffs.
-
Democratic attorneys general won a lawsuit to temporarily block Elon Musk's DOGE from accessing sensitive data from Treasury systems.
-
Every single Democrat voted against confirming Kash Patel as FBI director.
-
Senate Democrats introduced budget amendments that would have prevented Americans from being price gouged for prescription drugs and stopped DOGE staffers from abusing Americans' private data. But Senate Republicans blocked every single one.
-
DNC Chair Ken Martin began traveling the country, meeting with voters in red, blue, and purple states, and knocking on doors for Democrats in special elections.
-
New York Attorney General Letitia James led a multistate coalition to take legal action against Trump and Musk's efforts to shut down the CFPB.
-
Florida Democratic lawmakers filed legislation to overturn the state's six-week abortion ban.
-
Nevada Senate Democrats introduced a bill to make IVF treatments a right under state law and increase protections for fertility treatments.
-
California Governor Gavin Newsom proposed $125 million in mortgage relief for victims of recent natural disasters.
-
The DNC filed a brief with the Ninth Circuit to counter Republican attempts to outlaw most mail and early voting in Nevada.
Democrats are focused on protecting the American people from Trump and Musk's disastrous agenda.
We will keep fighting — and we'll keep you updated as our work continues.
Thank you,
The Democrats
