Elon Musk has gone too far

Elon Musk has gone too far. This lawsuit could stop Elon Musk in his tracks.

Harris,

Elon Musk dropped an astonishing $20 million into last Tuesday's pivotal election for the Wisconsin Supreme Court — and his candidate lost by a whopping 10 points.1

But despite Musk's humiliating rejection by voters, he's still there, continuing his devastating chainsaw cuts to Social Security, public health, education, food safety, and virtually every other part of the government that helps everyday Americans.2

Enough is enough. It's time for Elon Musk to go, and we're getting behind a lawsuit that could stop him in his tracks.

With our support, a courageous group of federal workers is suing Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for illegally connecting an outside server to a key government database.3

We believe this case has a real chance to succeed, but going up against the richest person in the world will be a long, hard fight, so we're counting on your help.

Will you make a donation to help support our work, including supporting the lawsuit to stop Elon Musk from illegally accessing government data?

Elon Musk and his DOGE henchmen have indiscriminately fired tens of thousands of government workers and bragged about sending entire federal agencies into a "woodchipper."4

Meanwhile, Musk's claims about uncovering fraud and waste continue to fall apart under scrutiny. In one case, DOGE claimed to have saved $8 billion by cutting a contract that in fact was only worth $8 million, a 1,000-fold typo. Later, it was revealed that the actual savings was zero dollars, because the so-called "contract" was actually just a line of credit that may not have been used at all.5

While Musk's claims about taxpayer savings have turned out to be fake, the damage he's done to key federal agencies has been very real.

To take just one example, DOGE's cuts to the Social Security Administration (SSA) have pushed the entire program to the brink of "total system collapse," in the words of one former SSA commissioner.6 More than half of the SSA's regional offices have been shut down, its website keeps crashing, and phone hold times have reached over 2 to 3 hours.7

No one elected Elon Musk, and it's time for him to go.

That's why we're backing this lawsuit against DOGE. If successful, it will be a huge step toward getting Musk out of our government and out of our data. But as a grassroots-funded organization, we rely on your donations to make this work possible.

Will you donate $20 to Demand Progress to help support our work, including supporting the lawsuit to stop Elon Musk's massive power grab?
