Biden's former Social Security head said that Trump is peddling "big lies" about SSA in order to wreck its ability to function, serve the public, and issue benefits checks to millions of people.3 The Trump admin, including Elon Musk, labeled people concerned about missed Social Security checks as "fraudsters" and spread disinformation about high levels of fraud in the program.4 Congress must stand up and save the benefits that tens of millions of Americans rely on.
