TELL CONGRESS: Wall Street is creating plans to privatize the USPS as a FedEx board member takes over as Postmaster General. This is a threat to the very existence of the postal service. Sign the petition: Don't let Wall Street privatize the USPS — save the Post Office! ADD YOUR NAME Harris, Trump and Wall Street are pushing for a private takeover of the Post Office.1 The appointment of the new Postmaster General — a board member of FedEx, a direct competitor to the USPS — is a concerning development for workers, consumers, and the very future of the postal service. Corporate executives at FedEx and on Wall Street would love to reap the profits from privatizing USPS. Wells Fargo even has a plan to privatize the Post Office and make investors a lot of money.2 Putting a FedEx guy at the head of the USPS presents serious conflicts of interest that bolster Trump and Wall Street's privatization plans. Congress must step in to protect the Post Office and postal workers before it's too late. Sign the petition: Don't let Trump, Wells Fargo, and Wall Street privatize the U.S. Postal Service! A postal service run by Wall Street privatizers would very likely throw away the universal service mandate that ensures delivery of prescription medication, ballots, letters from family and more to every single address in the nation — because it's not profitable. We can't let Trump, CEOs, or the new, dangerous Postmaster General, David Steiner, tear down the USPS, sell it for parts, and place it into the hands of Wall Street billionaires. Prices will go up for consumers and small businesses, workers will face job cuts on top of the 10,000 already announced,3 and people will lose the mail service they need.
