Harris, I have been on the frontlines of the Fight for $15 and a union for years. During the pandemic in 2020, I was a food runner at a restaurant in Wilton Manors. I was also a volunteer with SEIU1199. We rallied and organized the McDonald's workers on Broward Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and won the support to pass 2020's Amendment 2 for a $15 minimum wage with over 60% of the statewide vote.
