Bunny – Pride is many things: a celebration, a party, a protest, a demonstration of resilience and resistance, to name just a few. Here at the ACLU of Massachusetts, we know it's a chaotic time for queer folks, and Pride is a great time to build community in the face of that chaos. For June, we're hoping to spend as much time as possible in community with friends, partners, and supporters like you! We have a packed schedule of events, from sign-making to book fairs to drag shows to marches. If it's Pride you want, the ACLU has you covered!
We know that the threats to people in the LGBTQ community are dire right now, and the ACLU is fighting back. We have active federal cases right now in Boston, and we're waiting for a major decision on gender-affirming care from the Supreme Court. But we also know that one of the best ways to fight back is by celebrating our Freedom to Be: to be our powerful, joyful, and authentic selves in the face of chaos and negativity. No matter what they say, queer and trans people are not going anywhere. We hope you'll check out some of the exciting events we have planned for this Pride! In solidarity, ACLU of Massachusetts |
