Tell Congress: No war with Iran

The American people overwhelmingly support diplomacy with Iran -- not another endless war. Tell Congress to act before it's too late.

Harris, By now, you've seen the news: Israel has begun strikes on Iran. The American people have made it clear: they want diplomacy, not war, to resolve the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran. The window to resolve these tensions through negotiations is closing -- and if we don't act now, that window could slam shut, only to be replaced by missile strikes and military escalation. Poll after poll confirms it: Americans across party lines overwhelmingly support diplomacy. A 2023 Chicago Council on Global Affairs survey found 83% of Americans back diplomatic solutions to prevent Iran from building nuclear weapons -- including 80% of Republicans, 82% of Independents, and 88% of Democrats. A 2022 Data for Progress poll found 78% of Americans prefer negotiations to military force in Iran -- again with strong bipartisan support: 72% of Republicans, 79% of Independents, and 83% of Democrats. The Trump administration is letting talks stall while keeping war on the table. Top advisers openly say that if diplomacy "fails," their alternative is armed conflict -- as if diplomacy is just another box to check before launching another preventable war. Tell Congress: Oppose military strikes on Iran. Support a diplomatic solution to prevent war and keep America safe. ADD YOUR NAME Military strikes on Iran are a highly dangerous path. They could kill thousands, increase destabilization in the Middle East, and drag the U.S. into yet another endless war -- one without congressional authorization, a clear mission, or an exit strategy. We've seen this kind of war before, and the American people have seen how miserably it drags out before it ends. Despite this overwhelming consensus, Trump and his allies keep publicly flirting with escalation -- risking major miscalculation that could ignite a bigger regional or even nuclear war. We cannot afford to drop diplomatic efforts. Congress must reassert its authority and take the initiative to support a negotiated nuclear deal that prevents war, protects lives, and reflects the American people's will and priorities.
