USPS ALERT: The U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors just met! |
|
Harris, it’s Laura Carlson here with an update on the state of the USPS. |
Earlier this week, the USPS Board of Governors met for the first time in months. But at the end of the meeting, disaster Postmaster General Louis DeJoy still had a job – and the most pressing issues that consumers like you and I are facing, from slowed mail delivery to the hiked prices of postage stamps, still weren’t resolved. And the same Board leadership who REFUSES to fire DeJoy were reelected! |
We need to send the Board of Governors a message. Please sign on to tell the USPS: FIRE Postmaster Louis DeJoy! |
|
In this week’s meeting, DeJoy himself reported the Postal Service finished the 2023 fiscal year with a $6.5 billion dollar net loss. Not only did DeJoy deliver a dismal loss for this year, he also revealed that the USPS won’t even reach breakeven results in 2024. |
This comes as no surprise, Harris. Under DeJoy, the USPS has suffered slowed mail delivery, closed hundreds of postal offices, cut more than 50,000 positions, raised the rate for postage stamps, not once, but FIVE times, AND put a DISASTROUS 10-year plan in place that has already cut services, reduced office hours, and laid off even more workers. |
Harris, we need to let the USPS Board of Governors know that we won’t stand by while Louis DeJoy destroys this vital American institution. |
We need a massive show of public pressure from 50,000 grassroots Dems like you, Harris, to tell the USPS Board to FIRE Louis DeJoy – before it’s too late! |
