Harris,
Justice Democrats has officially launched our 2026 Candidate Recruitment campaign, and if we're going to clean house in the Democratic Party, we need YOUR help to find and support the next slate of working-class candidates to run for Congress!
While the establishment looks for those who can afford to run, we look for local leaders nominated to run by their own communities.
As we identify congressional districts with out-of-touch, corporate Democrats to mount primary challenges against, we're looking for people who:
- Share the struggles of their community — what it's like living paycheck to paycheck, being unhoused, or navigating our broken healthcare system;
- Are trusted and highly networked because of their work serving others, whose voices and opinions impact a larger group of people;
- Reject Corporate PAC money and champion solutions in Congress that match the scale, scope, and urgency of our crises.
Before they ran for Congress, AOC was a bartender, Cori Bush was a nurse, Jamaal Bowman was a school principal, and Summer Lee was a community organizer and State Representative — working-class people with the lived experience to fight for our shared values and interests in the halls of power.
We are looking for nurses, teachers, union leaders, workers of all kinds, and other everyday people who have demonstrated their leadership through service and sacrifice for others.
Even if these leaders may not become candidates themselves, they can help Justice Democrats work with the folks on the ground in your district to find the best candidate to represent your community.
Thank you for any support you can provide to help us find the next Justice Democrats candidates to run in 2026.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
PS — If you know anyone who fits the bill to be the next Justice Democrats candidate for Congress, nominate them here!
