Is there a rising star in your community? Now is your chance to celebrate her on a national level! Every year, EMILYs List recognizes a woman currently serving in a state or local office with our Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star Award. This award highlights a leader with a promising career in public service, and honors her for showing the same dedication, determination, and commitment as our award's namesake. We want to hear from you, Harris! Nominate a woman serving at the state or local level in your community for a 2025 Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star Award. The recipient of the 2025 Rising Star Award will not only be honored at our annual We Are EMILY event this spring, but will also know that the millions-strong EMILYs List community sees her work and has her back! Past recipients have included former Georgia state Rep. Bee Nguyen, Rep. Ayanna Pressley (MA-07), Harris County, Texas Judge Lina Hidalgo, and Rep. Emilia Sykes (OH-13). These women have made a huge difference in their cities, states, and our country. We are so excited to find and honor our next Rising Star, but first, we need your help to find her!
