The GOP budget is a disaster

House Republicans introduced a budget that guts critical programs, and Democrats aren't doing enough to fight back.

Justice Democrats

House Republicans rolled out their budget proposal and it's just as bad as you would have guessed, Harris.

A post on X from @MichaelSLinden reading: 'Good morning. This week Republicans in the House may take a vote to advance their budget plan. That budget plan would: Cut Medicaid by about $1 trillion, Cut food stamps, Spend trillions on tax cuts mostly for the rich and corporations, Add trillions to the national debt

At a time when American workers are struggling to make ends meet, Republicans are choosing to give massive handouts to the ultra-wealthy and huge corporations.

And who's going to pay for it? The very people who need the support the most. It's unconscionable to rip health care and food aid away from families – but Republicans will continue to wage war against the working class as long as they stand to make a buck.

We need a true opposition party that will stand up to this Republican budget. But what we've seen from most Democrats so far is weakness, fecklessness, and an inability to meet this moment.

If we have any chance of fighting back against this disastrous budget plan, we need to show do-nothing Democrats they need to be doing more.

Justice Democrats supports working-class candidates across the country running against status quo Democrats on a platform of supporting workers, actually standing up to Trump, and delivering real results to the American people.

Can you chip in $5 or whatever makes sense for you today to fuel our efforts before Friday's end-of-month deadline? We can bring transformative change to Congress in 2026, but only with the help of folks like you today.

Thank you,

Justice Democrats
