This is just the beginning of the movement we need to build to win this race Elijah Manley is more than a substitute teacher and organizer — he's a relentless fighter who knows what it means to struggle and overcome. Growing up in poverty and homelessness right here in Florida's 20th Congressional District, Elijah has experienced the challenges so many South Florida families face today. That's why he's running for Congress.

Harris, here are 5 reasons why your $5.00 of support — especially with the recent FEC reports — is so important to winning this election. - I would be the youngest member of Congress nationwide if elected. I've spent over a decade fighting on the front lines as an organizer and activist. I grew up in District 20, and I understand on a personal level the profound struggles that people in our community face.
- My opponent is the subject of a House Ethics Committee investigation. She has a separate $5.8 million lawsuit brought by the state of Florida against the healthcare company she leads as CEO. Her salary increased to approximately $6 million the year of the state's overpayment to her company — the same year she loaned herself a nearly identical amount of money self-funding her campaign for Congress. Her campaign is $4.3 million in debt and she refuses to answer the media's questions.
- Republicans have one of the closest House majorities in decades. The LAST thing we can afford is to lose a Democratic seat because the incumbent was compromised by lawsuits and investigations.
- Almost 90 percent of our donations come from small donors. Unlike my opponent, I don't have a family-owned healthcare company where I can funnel overpaid taxpayer money from state contracts to my own bank account. I grew up homeless and have a negative net worth — I know what South Floridians in our district face. But the only way we win is with a grassroots movement. That includes you.
- I'm not bought by lobbyists or special interests. We need to take on these corrupt influences over Congress. That's what this campaign is about.
Our people-powered campaign depends on the grassroots support of people like you, Harris. Can you pitch in $5.00 or more before midnight to help us keep up the momentum? If you've saved payment info with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. Every single dollar and donation, no matter the size, makes an enormous difference. With gratitude, Elijah |
