Federal workers, the people who inspect our food, care for our veterans, protect our parks, and serve our country, are under siege by Donald Trump.
His new executive order strips over a million public servants of their union rights under the false pretense of "national security." That's a lie, and we're not going to let him get away with it.
Let's be clear: this order has nothing to do with national defense and everything to do with silencing dissent. Trump wants to make it easier to fire federal employees who push back against his corrupt agenda. He's targeting the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) because they stand up for workers, accountability, and the rule of law.
This is union-busting at the federal level, and if Trump succeeds here, it won't stop with government employees. It's part of a broader, dangerous plan to weaken labor power, dismantle checks on executive authority, and reshape the federal workforce into a political loyalty test.
AFGE is going to court to stop this, and we must show the courts that the public stands with our federal workers.

The executive order guts protections for over 67% of the federal workforce, including 75% of all unionized federal employees. If Trump gets away with it, he'll make the civil service just another arm of his political machine.

The legal case is strong. But we know the courts don't operate in a vacuum. They respond to public pressure, media attention, and grassroots power. That's why this amicus brief matters. The more names we add, the louder our message becomes: hands off our public servants. Hands off our democracy.
It's time to draw the line. This is our government. These are our public workers. And Trump doesn't get to destroy decades of labor rights just because he's scared of accountability.
