This is not a drill. Social Security could be gone.

Elon Musk's indiscriminate cuts to Social Security are pushing the entire program to the brink of "total system collapse."

Harris,

Elon Musk's indiscriminate cuts to Social Security are pushing the entire program to the brink of "total system collapse."1

Dozens of Social Security field offices have been closed. The website keeps crashing. Calls to the Social Security customer service phone line are being left on hold for over three hours.2

Now Trump is pushing Congress to eliminate nearly all the payroll taxes that fund Social Security, which would force the program to shut down virtually overnight.3

This is an all-hands-on-deck emergency, and we're fighting back by mobilizing tens of thousands of people to contact Congress.

Will you make a donation to help support our work, including fighting back against Elon Musk's attempt to slash Social Security?

Social Security lifts over 27 million Americans out of poverty each and every year.4

But Elon Musk — the richest person in the world — calls Social Security the "biggest Ponzi scheme of all time" and shared a post calling Social Security beneficiaries a "parasite class."5

Musk falsely claims that there are tens of millions of dead people collecting Social Security checks and that 40 percent of the phone calls to Social Security's customer service line are from people trying to scam money out of the system.6,7

These are all flat-out lies — but the more that people believe them, the easier it will be for Trump and Musk to kill Social Security.

This could be the greatest threat to Social Security that we've ever faced, but a major backlash is brewing. Last weekend, people all over the country joined Hands Off! rallies, and we're helping to flood Capitol Hill with phone calls and petition signatures.

But we're counting on your support to make sure we have the resources to see this fight through and win.

Will you donate $20 to help defend Social Security and push for other key reforms?

With gratitude,

The team at Demand Progress Action
