Donald Trump is coming after one of the most successful job-creating laws in modern history: the CHIPS and Science Act. He ranted that the law is "a horrible, horrible thing" and claimed, "We give hundreds of billions of dollars, and it doesn't mean a thing." That's a lie. And it threatens thousands of good-paying jobs, real factories in real towns, and years of bipartisan progress.
Let's set the record straight. The CHIPS and Science Act is revitalizing American manufacturing and creating hundreds of thousands of good-paying, union-friendly jobs. It's funding new factories in Ohio, Arizona, and New York. It's bringing construction jobs, engineering jobs, technician jobs, not to Wall Street, but to Main Street.
Trump knows this. He just doesn't care. While he claims to champion the working class, his push to repeal the CHIPS Act would kill tens of thousands of jobs, leaving working families to face an uncertain future while he plays political games.
We don't have time to play defense. We need every member of Congress to stand up and say no to this wrecking ball politics. This law passed with bipartisan support. It's delivering.
Congress cannot cave. Tell Congress: Protect the CHIPS and Science Act from Trump's sabotage.
We've seen this movie before. Trump throws a tantrum, MAGA Republicans fall in line, and working Americans pay the price. The CHIPS Act is a once-in-a-generation investment in domestic manufacturing, science, education, and real economic revival.
And it's exactly the kind of smart, practical policy he fears, because it proves there's a better way than fear and division. But if Trump gets his way, construction sites will go quiet. Research labs will go dark. Small towns betting on new plants will get left in the dust.
Trump's goal is simple: erase progress, sow doubt, and drag us back to a broken past. He's not offering a plan. He's offering destruction. And the only reason it's under threat now is because one man can't stand not being the center of it all.
