| As Governor of Illinois, I’ve worked with the Biden administration to build on our progress. And I’ve seen how Joe and Kamala have partnered with leaders at every level of government to support working families and build a better America.
This August, we will be coming together at the Democratic National Convention, which I am so proud to host right here in the blue wall state of Illinois. In Chicago, folks from across the nation will celebrate our party’s vision, the historic progress made by President Biden, and our leaders in the states: Democratic governors.
But the reality is this, Harris: MAGA Republicans, led by Donald Trump, want to destroy that progress. They want to threaten women’s reproductive freedom. They want to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. They want to take away food support for the poorest children in America. And they want to make our democracy unrecognizable.
Luckily, President Biden and Democratic governors like myself have been protecting fundamental rights, creating jobs, and prioritizing kitchen table issues that actually matter to people. I know firsthand that together, we can stop them from taking us backward.
To ensure that we prioritize the voices of working American families as we craft our 2024 strategy, we need to hear from folks like you. Your input helps us protect our Democratic firewall, respond to the GOP’s relentless attacks, strengthen the infrastructure we’ll need to win, and most importantly, reelect President Biden and elect Democratic governors across the country. |
