I stand with teachers

A thriving democracy requires well paid teachers. Quality public education requires well paid teachers. Stagnant wages are reason number ONE. Almost 9 in 10 public school districts struggle to hire teachers because of low salaries. In fact, teachers earn 8 percent less than the average wage for all workers in the country, according to an ADP analysis, and that gap is widening. Harris, the demand for teachers is outpacing supply. Schools are struggling to be competitive. We need a Congress who will fund education, NOT DEFUND IT as the Republicans propose we do!
