The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has sounded the alarm for the LGBTQ+ community in the United States, declaring a state of emergency. The LGBTQ+ community in the United States is not currently protected by federal laws against discrimination and safeguarding their civil rights. This is why it is imperative for Congress to pass the Equality Act. I am running for Congress to flip California's 23rd District to BLUE, take back the House, and unseat my opponent who has refused to protect my community from state-sanctioned discrimination by voting against the Equality Act.
