That's why I've refused corporate PAC money in every race I've run, including this one. I won't be taking corporate money, any lobbyist checks, or contributions from the CEOs of Big Oil, Big Banks, or Big Pharma companies.
But running statewide in California takes millions of dollars. Probably tens of millions, even. Because I'm not taking corporate money I am really relying on our grassroots supporters. More on this below—but if you're short on time, can you chip in $5 right now?

The way I fundraise reflects my values as a candidate. I've always been willing to work with anyone—or say no to anyone—in order to do what's best for California families. I'm not afraid to stand up to powerful groups or people, whether that's a special interest group, corporation, or anyone else.
There's been some reporting that Democrat pundit and consultant types think we should move away from grassroots fundraising. With California's high contribution limits of nearly $80,000 for the primary and general elections combined, the easier path would be to take corporate money.
But that's just not my style. I made a promise to voters when I first ran for Congress in 2018 that I would never take corporate PAC money. I'm never one for BS or broken promises, and so you can bet that I'm going to continue to refuse corporate cash.
Small dollar, online fundraising is how I've powered all of my campaigns. I know that every time someone donates, they're making a sacrifice to support our campaign, and I take the responsibility of spending every dollar wisely very seriously.
