Bunny, there's something you can do right now to help us defend our freedoms against Trump and Project 2025. The State Department is accepting public comments through the end of this week for people to submit their concerns about the new passport policy that forces trans, intersex, and nonbinary people to out themselves any time they have to show ID. And they're required to review every comment before taking action.
This isn't about gumming up the works – it's about making the State Department read our experiences and hear our stories before taking action that will harm countless people. Denying trans people accurate passports would expose us to violence and discrimination anytime we have to show ID and keep us from traveling safely. It would impact every element of participating in public life – from flying, opening bank accounts, to enrolling in school, and more. We all deserve the freedom to be ourselves – not who Donald Trump wants us to be. Donald Trump's transphobic, unconstitutional policies are trying to force trans people out of public life – but with your help, we won't let them. Thanks for submitting your comment today. Thanks for all you do, Kait Thomson |
