When due process is thrown out the window

Over 200 people were sent to a slave labor prison in another country without a hearing, and U.S. citizens could be next.

Justice Democrats

Harris,

Since the Trump administration violated a court order and deported more than 200 Venezuelan immigrants to an El Salvador mega-prison described as 'hell on earth,' it's been revealed that most of these men did not even have criminal records.

Tweet from Jared Holt: 60 Minutes "could not find criminal records" for 75% of the 238 men the Trump admin sent to a Salvadoran prison Of the 22% that had records, the "vast majority are for non-violent offenses." Trump admin still insists they're "terrorists." Moral bankruptcy

One man, Andry Hernandez Romero, is a young, gay makeup artist who legally sought refuge in the United States last year. Another is Neri José Alvarado Borges, a 24-year-old who was accused of being a gang member solely because of his tattoos honoring his family and younger brother with autism.

The administration even admitted that Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a 29-year-old Maryland father who was legally shielded from being deported, was sent there by "administrative error," but claim they cannot get him back.

This is what happens when due process is thrown out the window, Harris.

And now, instead of doing anything to bring these people back, Trump himself just admitted that U.S. citizens could be next.

Tweet from Acyn: Reporter: The president of El Salvador said he would be willing to take American citizens in federal prison population. Trump: I love that

This is fascism on full display, and we need to fight back NOW. Add your name to demand Congress step up and do everything in its power to bring these men back and stop Trump from deporting even more people without due process to a foreign mega-prison.

TAKE ACTION

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
