Sign the petition: No Elon, Social Security cuts aren't "interesting"

TELL CONGRESS: The GOP will peddle in lies to slash the social safety net during the Trump presidency — it's what they've always done. And now Republicans have Musk leading the charge on cuts in the name of "efficiency." Our leaders need to be loud and clear that cuts to Social Security are off the table. Sign the petition: Don't let Musk cut Social Security!

Harris,

In Trump's next term, Republicans will test the limits of slashing government services and the social safety net — that includes Social Security.

The "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE) is a blatant scheme to gut the programs that everyday Americans rely on, and to put more money in the hands of millionaires and billionaires. Musk wants to treat Americans like he's treated his workers, and it won't be good. Congress must stop Musk from running the government like it's his private corporation.

Sign the petition: Don't let Musk cut Social Security benefits!

The GOP says "nothing is sacrosanct" in reference to gutting government spending on Social Security and Medicare.1

Musk has promised "hardship" for Americans as he plans to make massive cuts to the federal government.2

Social Security has served seniors and other Americans in need for decades. As a billionaire, Musk doesn't know how many people rely on those benefits and how government services really need to be expanded, not gutted.

We can't let this billionaire work with Trump and the GOP to end Social Security as we know it.

Add your name: Protect Social Security from Trump-Musk!

Thanks for taking action,

Joey and the team at Demand Progress
