Bunny – We're just days away from the presidential inauguration – this year coinciding with Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Now more than ever, we know it's essential to commit to community. This Friday, at the Parkman Bandstand on Boston Common – where King himself spoke 60 years ago – the ACLU of Massachusetts will gather with Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, Boston City Council President Ruthzee Louijeune, community partners, and racial justice advocates to call for justice, equity, and unity.
Inspired by the title of MLK's final book "Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community?", we seek to honor MLK by inspiring participants to choose community over chaos during a second Trump presidency. This year – not to mention the next four – will bring many challenges. At times like these, the work of courageous visionaries like King can ground us firmly in our values, principles, and commitments. Will you join us on Friday to celebrate community over chaos? In solidarity, ACLU of Massachusetts |
