Chuck Schumer just got hit with a political earthquake, over 50 national groups have now joined the demand that he resign as Senate Minority Leader. That includes major climate, democracy, and progressive advocacy organizations.
This campaign to remove Schumer is not going away, it's getting bigger, louder, and more urgent by the day. Why? Because when push came to shove, Schumer folded, again, giving Trump and Musk everything they wanted in a spending bill that Democrats had the power to block.
We need a leader who sees what's really happening, a full-on dismantling of the federal government and an assault on the very idea of public power. A leader who can stand up to Trump, who won't crumble when the pressure builds.
Someone like Senator Cory Booker, who just stood on the Senate floor and spoke for 25 straight hours, rallying against Trump, Musk, and the corporate assault on our democracy. That's the kind of grit we need running the Senate caucus.
Schumer doesn't get this moment, and the growing coalition behind this call is not backing down. Tell Senate Democrats: It's time to replace Schumer with someone who will lead the opposition to Trump now.
