Across the country, the Democratic pro-choice women we've helped recruit, support, and elect are delivering on their promises to protect reproductive freedoms and defend our rights — despite fierce opposition from extremist Republicans pushing Trump's disastrous MAGA agenda.
In Virginia, Democrats passed a constitutional amendment to enshrine abortion rights into state law. But to get it on the ballot, we need to hold the House of Delegates in November. Leaders like state Sen. Ghazala Hashmi, candidate for lieutenant governor, are championing bills to protect providers and expand access to contraception.
In Colorado, state Sen. Faith Winter fought to protect doctors from out-of-state prosecution, ensuring that reproductive health care providers can continue their essential work without fear.
In Nevada, state Sen. Nicole Cannizzaro took action to protect access to IVF, standing up for families who rely on this critical reproductive care.
In Florida, which has a near-total abortion ban, pro-choice champions like state Sen. Tracie Davis and House Minority Leader Fentrice Driskell are leading efforts to restore access to essential health care.
Because of the movement we've built together, pro-choice champions are fighting back and pushing forward. But their work, and ours, is far from over.
