Americans are sending a clear message to Donald Trump and the Republican majorities in Congress: we reject their dismantling of our government.
But instead of listening, GOP lawmakers are hiding.
When I was in Congress, I held dozens of town halls. I gave everyone a fair shot to ask a question, whether they agreed with me or not. I stood on my own two feet and explained to my constituents how I was thinking about the issues on their minds. That's what it takes to be a leader.
There's a shortage of courage in Washington. Instead of doing what's right for families, too many politicians spend their time wining and dining with special interests.
That's why I started Truth to Power: to bring more bravery to Congress. We endorse and support candidates who will step up and fight for what families need, and we rely on 100% grassroots donations to fuel our work.
